Concussion Australia recommends usage of the Brief Guide for the general public and the community, though it may also have significant value for medical and allied health practitioners. The ANZ Concussion Guidelines (Clinical Practice) have been designed for medical practitioners and allied health providers to provide best practice guidelines to care for and manage concussion.

Concussion Australia has developed a short and practical guide to assist you to manage a concussion when it happens and that can be accessed here. The guide goes through symptoms, red flags, timelines, persistent post concussion symptoms and treatment. Please contact us or attend one of our support groups if you are are not recovering from your concussion/s.
THE AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND CONCUSSION CLINICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINES
Professor Karen Barlow, a member of our Medical Advisory Committee, along with the best experts in Australia in the concussion world (funded by a Commonwealth Grant) Chaired the Australia and New Zealand Concussion Guidelines Committee to develop a best Clinical Practice Guide for medical practitioners and allied health professionals. These were released in late 2024 and can be accessed here.
