WHAT DO WE OFFER?
CONCUSSION EDUCATIONÂ WORKSHOPS
We go over all the important stuff that helps you, your club and school (and other groups) to manage concussion. All the content is designed and approved by the Concussion Australia Medical Advisory Committee, which is delivered in an engaging and relatable way, while encouraging participation in sport of all shapes and sizes. In our view, this type of education can assist to reduce and manage the health and legal risks that are associated with concussion/s.
MEDICAL EDUCATION FOR GENERAL PRACTITIONERS
Our Medical Advisory Committee (or individual members) can run and deliver comprehensive face to face or online training to doctors to learn how to diagnose and manage concussion in their patients. We go in depth into identification, diagnosis, return to learn and play, pharmaceuticals, rehabilitation methods, physiology and other types of treatment for persistent post concussion symptoms.
LEGAL EDUCATION FOR LAWYERS
This one is for lawyers and those who want to learn about concussion and the law. Concussion Australia has developed a CPD module for lawyers where we go into both the medical and legal side of concussion, including all of the recent case law, including our view on where the law is heading including possible methods to assist in reducing liability. This is delivered by solicitors with expertise in concussion.
SUPPORT GROUPS
We facilitate regular support groups for those who suffer from concussion. These are online, and provide individuals suffering from concussion or related injuries with a chance to connect with others. Sign up for an online support group here.
REFERRALS
If you suffer a concussion then you can call us and we can refer you to the right person in your area for treatment. If we can't help, one of our networks will be able to. The same goes for those who are suffering from long term concussion symptoms.
PARTNERSHIP
Concussion Australia has a variety of partnership packages to suit businesses and organisations of all shapes and sizes. We can tailor a workshop or presentation to your workplace, and we are very keen to be involved in combined corporate-charity events.
